For the third consecutive time, DVS Shoes and the Copenhagen Skatepark have teamed up to produce one of Europe’s greatest growing event events-the CPH Professional. Boasting one of the largest prize purses in Europe, this year’s event is set to take place in June. Once again the top pro skate boarders from around the planet will converge on Copenhagen, Denmark for a weekend of heated pro competition on an all original course-great food, free beer, and loads of good times. Keep the date! TransWorld Skateboarding held its first annual Skate & Create event. In a nutshell, the event consists of 4 teams of four skaters, one amature, a photographer, a videographer, and an art manager. Each team is locked in a warehouse for 9 days with a smorgasbord of ramps, rails, banks, and boxes. The skaters that can come up with the most innovative set concept, skate obstacles, photography, skateboarding, and capture on film places 1st. All teams involved produced amazing video clips and brilliant shots, however after the judging was said and done it was DVS that emerged as the winner. In admiration of its accomplishments, DVS has launched a Mini-Website that present its contest video, a behind-the-scenes video, point and shoot photographs, as well as brief commentary with the innovative minds behind the project. 23-year-old Andrew Brophy has been skating on team DVS worldwide for some years now, but the six-foot-four man-child has gotten so damn good at skate boarding that we decided to remove him from the outback of Australia and place him on as a full blown domestic US professional. Now all we have to do is get him a Visa so he does not get deported back to the bush. Sales have been soaring ever since the release of Original Intent.
